A Commitment to Action—the defining feature of Give Globally Foundation
is a plan for addressing a significant global challenge. Commitments can be small or large and financial or nonmonetary in nature. Many commitments are the result of cross-sector partnerships, with Give Globally Foundation members combining efforts to expand their impact. To date, members of the Give Globally Foundation community are going to made more than 3,200 commitments which will improve the lives of over 430 million people in more than 180 countries.Give Globally Foundation member commitments represent bold new ways to address global challenges – implemented through new methods of partnership and designed to maximize impact. Commitments can be small or large, global or local. No matter the size or scope, commitments help Give Globally Foundation members translate practical goals into meaningful and measurable results.
We hold a vision of a world without poverty
A society where each person is respected. Poverty is an affront to human dignity, and people in poverty have unique knowledge and experience that can lower the barriers separating people and communities. Give Globally Foundation is a movement that gathers people from all backgrounds in order to think, act, and live together differently. The violence of extreme poverty, ignorance, deprivation, and contempt isolates people and locks them in silence to the point where they doubt that they are part of the human community. Recognizing the efforts made by people in poverty to ensure that no one is left behind, and combining our strengths to reach out to those still unreached, are essential steps on the path toward overcoming poverty and building peace together.
Give Globally Foundation works to overcome poverty by seeking out people living in the worst conditions of poverty and exclusion.
The most disadvantaged people can free themselves from the dependence and indignity of poverty when their courage and their capacity for action are recognized and when everyone takes responsibility for overcoming the prejudice and discrimination that continue to exclude people in poverty, on every continent. All our projects are designed and planned together with people living in persistent poverty, with the goal of leaving no one behind. Our Mission is to End Extreme Poverty by supporting the national and international agencies working on it, so that it should not get declared again like MDG that the program is failed after crores of expense.
